School Information

GEOS Auckland Language Centre Takapuna Beach Campus is a modern boutique campus specializing in High School Preparation, hosting Tour Groups and the Young Learner Season, General English, English for Academic Purposes and IELTS.  Our New Zealand Qualification Authority-approved English language programmes (NZQA) are suited to students from all over the world. GEOS ALC is a member of English NZ.

Takapuna Beach Campus is 10 minutes from the city in friendly Takapuna Beach.  The school is just one street from the beach in the middle of the café and shopping strip.  You can reach everything on foot in 2 minutes.

A shopping mall and bus port are just behind the school, with Starbucks only 5 doors away!  Takapuna Beach is a modern and trendy town offering a great relaxed lifestyle, which appeals to all ages.

Our approach is very communicative and learners are encouraged to use and practice the language as much as possible. The teaching methods are skills-based (reading, writing, speaking and listening), with vocabulary, grammar and structures introduced around interesting and relevant themes.
Our High School Preparation programme was written by a New Zealand Education Specialist and is based on the topics and themes found in the National Certificate of Education Achievement (NCEA).

The school is equipped with a large student common room, free Internet facilities, hot & cold drink machines and kitchen with microwaves.

There is a free weekly activity for students to join plus weekend sightseeing activities and trips such as surfing, sailing on Auckland’s harbour, Farmstays and visiting Rotorua, Waitomo Caves and Taupo.
